Our time in the Pacific Northwest centered on Seattle and Vancouver was filled with great adventures in the beautiful region. But our favorite moment was spending time on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. The colors were magnificent, and the views from our inn in Eastsound were superb. Here is just a sample.
Eastsound is a peaceful little village that looks out to the water to the south and the peaks of Moran State Park to the east. It’s a walkable community with plenty of shops, galleries and restaurants all around. I enjoyed the beautiful colors of fall in Eastsound, and I’ll have more on that soon. Before I could transfer photos from the camera I couldn’t resist to put up a few shots from my iPhone that capture the beautiful Orcas Island sunset from Eastsound.
I know, I know. These photos aren’t exactly sunset. But they do show the beauty of Eastsound on Orcas Island and I think help capture the full scene.
Stay tuned for much to come from our time on beautiful and relaxing Orcas Island, the fun ferry ride to the islands, our stay at the quaint Outlook Inn and my recommendations for how to spend 24 hours on Orcas Island.
