I don’t know that I’m some expert on all there is to do in Carlsbad, Calif. But after our recent visit to this beach community in North San Diego County, I feel I know a thing or two about how to enjoy Carlsbad, California.
In just a few weeks we will be enjoying a week of Southern California family fun and I must admit we couldn’t be more excited. This will be our son’s first visit to California, first time to see the Pacific Ocean and first visit to an amusement park of any kind. It will also be our first true family getaway in months, and comes at a great time for our family. As I sit and finalize hotel details my head is spinning at all the possibilities. But it’s so much more than the typical tourist traps because, let’s be honest, I hate tourist traps.
Yes, that headline says it all. I’m going to Disneyland. And if you know me well at all or even if you’ve just come to be familiar with my travel style from reading this space, the idea that I’m going to Disneyland must sound absurd.
