Below is a sample of some of Lance’s writing. He has written numerous articles for newspapers and magazines, in addition to the work found at Trips By Lance. Lance has written for various media outlets, from Memphis magazine to Nashville Lifestyles, Trivago.com, Trekaroo.com and served as a travel insider for the now-defunct travel site, Jetset Extra. He also served as the Memphis Travel and Destination Expert for About.com. In addition, Lance has served as a Special Correspondent for AFAR Media and edited a Memphis travel guide.
Before transitioning to the editing side of journalism in late 2005, Lance spent six years as a newspaper reporter covering a variety of topics from sports to real estate and business features. He also has written numerous features for the Downtowner magazine in Memphis. Currently, Lance covers social issues, business and development for a variety of Memphis news sites and publications.
